Prince Royce and Maluma performing at the Latin AMAs The best of Latin entertainers took the Dolby Theater stage on Thursday night (October 25) for the Latin American Music Awards. The Latin AMAs were hosted by Aracely Arambula, Gloria Trevi, Becky G, Leslie Grace and Roselyn Sanchez. Wisin & Yandel, Gloria Trevi, CNCO, Bandada MS de Rene Camacho and many others graced the night with heart-robing performances.   Presenters - Latin AMAs CNCO and Ozuna dominated the night with three wins each. CNCO won favorite duo or group, favorite artist - pop, and favorite album - pop while Ozuna won favorite artist - urban, album of the year and favorite album - urban for  Odisea .  Daddy Yankee was honored with the Icon Award for his successful 20-year long career. The 41-year-old reggaeton singer made a brief accepance speech upon receiving the award. The countdown to the Latin AMAs has begun with Telemundo's announcement of nominees. Reggaeton stars Ozuna and J Balvin top the nominations with a tie of nine nods each. The pair is closely followed by multi-nominees like Nicky Jam with eight nods, and Daddy Yankee with six.  Bad Bunny, Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga and Christian Nodal are next with five nods.  Luis Fonsi, Maluma, Romeo Santos, Shakira and Wisin have four nods each. 10 artists have been nominated for artist of the year: Bad Bunny, Banda MS de Sergio Lizarraga, Christian Nodal, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Luis Fonsi, Maluma, Nicky Jam, Ozuna and Shakira. The musical genres featured in the Latin AMA categories are: pop/rock, regional Mexican, urban, and tropical. Fan votes determine the winners in all categories.
