Lionel Messi Breaks Cristiano Ronaldo UEFA Champions League Record

FC Barcelona captain Lionel Messi, picked up the Man of the Match award in the Barcelona - PSV Eindhoven match yesterday night, and broke Cristiano Ronaldo's UEFA Champions League record. His fine goal at the 61st minute made him the most prolific goalscorer for a single club in Champions League history, a record previously held by Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo's Champions League tally for Real Madrid stands at 105 goals. Messi was happy with the record as he said,  "I am delighted, I have just found out now. I am happy for this new stat." Mumbai: Dog dies after being gang-raped by four men

A male dog was gang-raped and mutilated by four men in Mumbai, India, on November 17, 2018. The dog was succored by animal welfare non-governmental organization Animals Matter To Me (AMTM), who took the dog to a veterinary clinic.  Sadly, the dog succumbed to his injuries, dying in his sleep four days after admission, on November 21, 2018. The dog was given the name 'Courage' upon admission. Courage suffered from excessive bleeding and internal injuries after being gang-raped by four men who are believed to have been under the influence of drugs. Courage was severely traumatized after the incident and would get scared and scream whenever someone tried to touch him at the clinic. The veterinarian who treated Courage revealed that someone had tried to fold his hind legs near his pelvis, in addition to gang-raping and mutilating him. Barcelona becomes highest-paying sports team with new Messi deal

The latest Global Sports Salaries Survey reveal that La Liga champions, FC Barcelona, are the first sports team to pay its first-team players an average salary of more than £10 ($13,755,714) million per year. The Catalonia giants lastly topped the survey in 2012, when their average wage was half of the current sum. This season, Barcelona will pay its 23-man squad an average of £10.45, before bonuses. The additions of Philippe Coutinho, Arthur, Malcom and Arturo Vidal have greatly contributed to these exorbitant figures, alongside Messi's bumper new contract. His new contract, signed in November 2017, pays him a basic £50 million ($64.2 million) per year before tax. His contract makes him the best paid player in the club's history. Gerard Pique, Sergi Roberto, Sergio Busquets and Samuel Umtiti also signed new contracts with the club.   European champions Real Madrid are second on the list, with an increase in the average salaries of their first-team stars to £8.1 m

Rita Ora Dedicates New Album to Avicii

Rita Ora released her long-awaited sophomore album,  Phoenix , on Friday, November 23. Rita Ora and many artists have been deeply hurt by the loss of Swedish EDM producer/DJ Avicii.  In a recent interview with  A List magazine , prior to Phoenix's release, she announced she dedicated her second album to Avicii, by including the track they worked on last August for Avicii's last EP - Lonely Together. She originally had no plans of including the track on her album. She told A List,  “I am paying homage to him by putting "Lonely Together" on the album. We are holding the flame for him. He was an incredible person and such a talent. We were very good friends and he changed my life. In a way, the album is dedicated to him.” Avicii died on April 20, 2018, while on vacation in muscat, Oman, of an apparent suicide. Moroccan woman in UAE butchered and cooked lover

A Moroccan woman in her 30s was arrested in the United Arab Emirates on suspicion of killing her boyfriend of seven years after he told her of his plans of marrying another Moroccan. She killed her boyfriend three months ago, but the murder was only recently uncovered, when a human tooth was found inside her blender. Her lover whom she claimed to have supported financially throughout their relationship also hailed from Morocco. According to an Abu Dhabi state-owned newspaper, The National, she confessed her crime to the police, calling it a moment of "insanity". She admitted she wanted revenge for being dumped. Her and her deceased boyfriend's names were not mentioned by the newspaper. The paper reveals that the man's death came to light in recent days when the man's brother - an Ajman resident - went looking for him at their home in the city of Al Ain, and found a human tooth in a blender. Nigerian OAP Tosyn Bucknor Dead at 37

Oluwatosin 'Tosyn' Bucknor has died at the age of 37. She died on November 19, 2018. The popular Nigerian On-Air Personality/Inspiration FM's radio host died due to complications from the sickle cell disease, as disclosed by her sister Olufunke Bucknor Obruthe.  Tosyn Bucknor was reportedly found dead by her (French) husband, Aurelien Boyer, when he arrived home from work on Monday night.
