With the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus - Covid-19, face masks have become one of the most stockpiled items in countries affected by the outbreak. However, these masks are o little help in preventing the inhalation of the virus. The CDC - Center for Disease Control - does not recommend face masks for those who aren't infected with the disease, unless they're health care workers. Masks are more helpful to those who are already infected the most effective of them being the N95 masks which block 95% of very small particles. They should be worn by coronavirus patients to help prevent the spread of the virus. The following CDC guidelines are useful in preventing coronavirus infections: Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Stay home when you are sick. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
