Rafael Nadal rejects comparison with Roger Federer to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have pretty much dominated tennis like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have with football. In men's tennis, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have a combined 29 Grand Slams. Rafael Nadal's French Open and US triumphs have taken him to 19 Grand Slam titles, only one behind Roger Federer. In football, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have won 11 of the last 12 Ballon d'Or awards, with Messi taking the upper hand (six out of 12). Nadal has been likened to Ronaldo because they both share a crazy drive to win and powerful physiques. Federer has been likened to Messi as they are both serene, graceful and have extraordinary finesse. Nadal however does not share that opinion as he told Marca.com,  “No comparison is possible. They are two completely different sports and Messi’s characteristics are not those of Federer nor are those of Cristiano like mine. Forbes' Top 100 Highest-paid Athletes

Floyd Mayweather may have been absent from the list of top 100 highest-earning athletes in 2017 but he is the highest earner this year (2018). Mayweather has been the highest-paid athlete in 2012, 2014, 2015 and now, 2018. Cristiano Ronaldo held the crown in 2016 and 2017, but has dropped to 3rd this year ($108) with Lionel Messi edging him out ($111 million) to the 2nd spot.  Photo credit: Philippine Star Athletes from 11 different sports made it to the list.
