'I'd choose Ronaldinho at his best over Messi' - Brazil legend 'touched by God', says Cardetti

Martin Cardetti says he prefers Brazil prodigy and former Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Ronaldinho to Barcelona legend Lionel Messi. Cadetti and Ronaldinho played together at PSG before the latter's transfer to Barcelona in 2003. Cadetti told  Crack Deportivo : As a coach, for my team I would choose Ronaldinho at his best over Messi. "I shared a year with Ronaldinho and he is a different player, he's touched by God. "He always had fun; with the ball he was always doing things and he practiced a lot so that he could replicate those things in matches." The Argentinian added: "You see him in training, in matches and every move he makes is different from everyone. "Players like him appear very rarely and they are remembered in football history. Talking to  Panenka  magazine, 2005 Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldinho opened up on his friendship with Lionel Messi while at Barcelona. The Brazilian enjoyed a fruitful five-year spell at the Camp Nou between 2003 and 2008, winning two La Liga titles, one UEFA Champions League title and two Spanish Super Cups with the club. He is still revered by many Barcelona fans till date. Messi emerged and flourished as Barcelona's new star after Ronaldinho left the club. Messi reveals his favorite goal for Barcelona after 400 La Liga goals landmark

Lionel Messi's strike in Barcelona's most recent La Liga outing vs Eibar saw him reach yet another huge milestone in his praiseworthy career - the 400 goal mark in La Liga. Talking to  Mundo Deportivo , the 31-year-old Barcelona captain singled out his best goal, which happens to be his first goal, against Albacete, back in May 2005.  "The first against Albacete from the pass of Ronnie [Ronaldinho], I will never forget," he said.  "The goals of the Clasicos are always special and against hard opponents that are usually  Atletico Madrid ,  Valencia  and  Sevilla ...  "Those that I have had the luck to score against our fans here in the Camp Nou they are always nice, and they are also special that I scored as a visitor because of the difficulty of playing away.
