The 19th annual BET Awards ceremony was hosted by Regina Hall, yesterday. The BET awards seek to recognize winners across 20 categories in a "celebration of black culture". The ceremony which aired live from the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles lasted for more than three and a half hours. However, not all the trophies were handed out during the performance-and tribute-heavy TV presentation. Tyler Perry was honored with the Ultimate Icon Award , Mary J. Blige received the Lifetime Achievement Award , and Nipsey Hussle (who was killed in March) was posthumously honored with the Humanitarian Award . Here is a full list of award nominees and winners.
