The 2019 Critics' Choice Awards aired barely a week after the 2019 Golden Globes, on CW, and was hosted by Taye Diggs. The 24th edition of the Critics' Choice Awards saw Roma winning big, as it won Best picture, foreign language film, and Roma director Alfonso Cuaron was awarded a pair of individual honors. The best actress award was split between Lady Gaga for A Star is Born and Glenn Close for The Wife . Lady Gaga also won Best Song for A Star is Born 's "Shallow".
