According to athlete marketing platform Opendorse, Cristiano Ronaldo is Twitter's most valuable athlete, meaning his tweets are more valuable than those of any other athlete endorser. Ronaldo has 82.7 million followers on Twitter, and his tweets are valued at $868,606. The second most valuable athlete on Twitter is legendary Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta. A tweet of his is worth $590,825. Coming third is PSG's Neymar, with his tweets valued at $478,138. LeBron James, the NBA icon is the most valuable US athlete on Twitter, and he comes fourth in the ranking of most valuable athletes on Twitter. Ronaldo who is the first individual to hit the 200 million followers milestone on Instagram is also Instagram's top earner, earning $975,000 per sponsored post.

Andres Iniesta visits former Barcelona teammates

FC Barcelona legend and former captain Andres Iniesta payed his former Catalan team, Barcelona, a visit on Monday, December 11. His visit followed the close of the J1 League - his current league - on November 30. He visited his former teammates at Barcelona's Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training ground, as they prepared for their Champions League clash with Tottenham on Tuesday. Andres Iniesta retires from international football after Spain's World Cup exit

Andres Iniesta, the midfielder who gave La Roja the winning goal in the 2010 World Cup final, has announced his retirement from international football following Spain's exit against Russia. This announcement came in as a confirmation as he had said in May that he would likely retire after the World Cup, later saying that he couldn't rule out a return. Iniesta's final kick for Spain was a goal against Russia at the penalty shootout in the last 16 game on Sunday.
