Cristiano Ronaldo & Paulo Dybala caught on camera blaming Juventus midfield for Lyon defeat

Juventus attacking duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala were unable to score for Juventus in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie, and the pair blame their midfield for this. The Turin powerhouse was beaten by Lyon 1-0 at Parc OL in France. Juventus conceeded the goal in the first-half during which Juventus put up a rather poor display. Dybala and Ronaldo chatted freely in the tunnel while waiting for the kick-off of the second half, unaware that there was a TV camera in the tunnel. It recorded their conversation, an exchange in Spanish. "We are left alone out there, the midfielders are giving us no support,” the five-time Ballon d’Or winner grumbled to Dybala. "Nobody is getting the ball,” Dybala replied. "I know, not even the second balls, nothing,” Ronaldo said. There was some improvement from Juventus in the second half but they still couldn't overturn the one goal deficit.

Cristiano Ronaldo accidentally kissed Paulo Dybala after his second goal vs Parma

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in astronomic form for Juventus the past weeks, scoring 11 goals in 7 games. Parma was the latest club to suffer from Ronaldo's boost in form, as he scored a brace to grant Juventus a 2-1 victory over Parma. Ronaldo opened scoring at the Allianz Stadium that night, then Andreas Cornelius equalized for Parma. Then Ronaldo once more gave Juventus the lead, thanks to a fine Paulo Dybala assist.  Ronaldo and Dybala then ran towards the corner flag to celebrate the goal, which led to an awkward moment - Ronaldo and Dybala accidentally locking lips.  Ronaldo had his arm around Dybala, and they both tried to slow down with their run, then Ronaldo turned towards Dybala - most likely to kiss him on the cheek. But at that moment, Dybala too was turning his head towards Ronaldo, which resulted in an accidental kiss on the lips. Dybala then turned his head away, towards Ronaldo's shoulder for a hug. Photos and footage of the accidental kiss between bo...

Maurizio Sarri: Lionel Messi's Ballon d'Or Edge on Cristiano Ronaldo is 'Annoying'

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri finds it "really annoying" that Lionel Messi has surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of Ballon d'Or awards, despite both players dominating in Ballon d'Or wins over the past decade. See their Ballon d'Or dominance below: 2008: Cristiano Ronaldo 2009: Lionel Messi 2010: Lionel Messi 2011: Lionel Messi 2012: Lionel Messi 2013: Cristiano Ronaldo 2014: Cristiano Ronaldo 2015: Lionel Messi 2016: Cristiano Ronaldo 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo 2018: Luka Modric 2019: Lionel Messi Lionel Messi is last year's Ballon d'Or winner, and had previously won the golden gong in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015. Messi has also featured among the top three finalists more times - 11 times - than any other player. After Juventus' victory over Udinese yesterday, Sarri told reporters,  'I would like to help Cristiano win the sixth Ballon d'Or first. 'It's really annoying thinking that someone won mo...

Maurizio Sarri says he can't play Ronaldo, Dybala and Higuain together

Bianconeri boss Maurizio Sarri says an attacking triumvirate of Ronaldo, Dybala and Higuain can't work at Juventus due to the characteristics of the players.  "Right now, playing three forwards is difficult due to the characteristics of the players," he said at a media conference. "You can't prohibit Dybala from dropping deep, and at the same time Cristiano's characteristics are not to play too central. We must take some precautions to fill the penalty area more.” He nonetheless expressed confidence in the players' ability to bounce back from their draw with Sassuolo in their last league game.  Today, Juventus face third-placed Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico. To this effect, he said: "It's normal that after Champions League games there's a drop in energy, mentality and confidence. "But from what I've seen in training I'm confident. As always, we have to respond on the pitch, getting three points is always important...

Paulo Dybala's Thunderbolt strike steals show from Cristiano Ronaldo in the Champions League

Thanks to Paulo Dybala, Juventus beat Atletico Madrid yesterday night and now top group D in the Champions League. He scored the lone goal of the encounter, making headlines in place of Juventus' biggest star Cristiano Ronaldo. The latter seems to have been having a little bad luck with the Champions League this month. Three weeks ago, Aaron Ramsey poked in Cristiano Ronaldo's goalbound free kick, preventing him from breaking a new Champions League record by scoring against a 34th different club. Yesterday, Paulo Dybala's thunderbolt free kick scored within seconds to the end of the second half sent supporters and social media into frenzy. Paulo Dybala has been able to score a goal already in just two free kick attempts whereas Cristiano Ronaldo has scored none in 10 free kicks taken. Dybala is also Juventus' Champions League top scorer since Ronaldo joined the club in 2018. Dybala has scored eight goals in the Champions League since the 2018 season, and Ronald...

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri says Cristiano Ronaldo 'is not a problem'

A furious Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly left the stadium early after being replaced by Paulo Dybala in the 55th minute in Sunday's game between Juventus and AC Milan. The young Dybala scored the winning goal in the 79th minute, providing Juventus with a much needed win required to top Serie A ahead of Inter Milan. According to Sky Sport Italia, Ronaldo left the stadium three minutes before the match ended. To that allegation, Sarri replied, " If it's true that he left before the end it is a problem to be resolved with his teammates."   Cristiano Ronaldo has now been substituted in two consecutive games. He also had a furious reaction after being substituted in Juventus' 2-1 win against Lokomotiv Moscow midweek. Ronaldo has now been substituted as many times this season as he was throughout the entire 2018/19 campaign. This according to Sarri is the result of a knee injury Ronaldo has been struggling with. Sarri told Sky Sports Italia,  "He [Cristi...

Why the world is mad at Cristiano Ronaldo

Juventus faced Switzerland's BSC Young Boys yesterday in their final Champions League group game. Ronaldo denied lone Juventus goalscorer Paulo Dybala a last-minute equalizer which could have been a contender for goal of the season. Ronaldo had already missed several scoring chances for Juventus with Young Boys striker Guillaume Hoarau scoring twice. Dybala who came in as a substitute pulled Juventus back into the game reducing Young Boys' lead by one goal. He also scored what would have been a last-minute equalizer with his wonderful strike 25 yards from Young Boys' net. Unfortunately for Juventus, a goal-hungry Ronaldo leapt at the ball in front of goalkeeper Marco Woelfli but did not make contact. The referee rightfully ruled out the goal due to Ronaldo's offside interference. Furious fans took to social media to criticize Ronaldo for his selfish act.  Always said Ronaldo is NOT and will NEVER be a team player Why's everyone so surprised he ruined a ...
