Hippocrates of Kos ( Hippokrátēs ho K ṓ os)  was an ancient Greek physician. He lived between 460 BC and 379 BC. Hippocrates is regarded as one of the most important contributors in the annals of medical science. Upon Hippocrates has been bestowed the epithet 'Father of Modern Medicine' in western culture. His medical practices are widely classified under the 'Hippocratic School of Medicine'. When we think philosophy, we think Plato. Plato is widely considered the most pivotal figure in the development of philosophy.
