Casemiro reacts to Messi: Those with a mouth can say what they want

The usually quiet Messi has been rather outspoken throughout this Copa. He's had a lot to say about the poor officiating and "corruption" as he says that went down to favor Brazil's winning of their first Copa title in 12 years. Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro was asked to comment on Messi's claims and accusations. He didn't want to say much but sent across a subtle message. The Brazilian said: "Those with a mouth can say what they want. "It's not up to me to speak, it's a delicate subject. "It's not for me to say if the refereeing was good. "Everyone tries to do their best and we need to congratulate Peru for the good Copa America they had." What's your take on the subject?

Dani Alves named best player of the 2019 Copa America, reacts to Messi

Brazil defeated Peru 3-1 yesterday, at the Maracana stadium to win their first Copa America in 12 years. Right-back Dani Alves was named player of the tournament. Alves left Paris Saint-Germain this summer and will certainly be sought for by many suitors after his triumphant performances at the Copa America. 36-year-old Alves replaced Neymar as Brazil's captain in May  after the forward's series of off-field controversies, including a physical attack on a fan that earned him a three-match ban by the French Football Association. Arturo Vidal defends Messi and Medel, also criticizes CONMEBOL

Messi was controversially sent off the Argentina - Chile third place play-off yesterday, with a red card, only the second of his illustrious career. Many player, and even coaches have criticized his expulsion. One of those who did not hold back their criticism of the use of VAR and CONMEBOL's faulty management was Arturo Vidal.  After the game, he said: "I think Argentina had things go against then when they played Brazil.  "It was unfair, just like when they sent us to a hotel two hours away from the stadium to play against Colombia. Gianluigi Buffon returns to Juventus after one season at Paris Saint-Germain

Former Italy skipper Gianluigi Buffon, has completed an emotional return to his former club Juventus. The 41-year-old goalkeeper had spent 17 years with the Turin giants before joining Paris Saint-Germain last summer. A happy Buffon said "life is incredible" after returning to the Turin giants. He will be Wojciech Szczesny's understudy for the 2019-2020 season. Cristiano Ronaldo may be on holiday but he's already thinking of the 2019/2020 season. The Juventus star has expressed his desire to add more silverware to his collection this year, under new Old Lady manager, Maurizio Sarri. Arriving Madeira, he told journalists, "I'm always ready. "I want to have a good season, that's always my goal. "Year after year I want to do the best I can and win titles." The Juventus No. 7 who scored 28 goals in 43 appearances last year, winning Serie A and the Supercoppa Italiana, also spoke about his hometown Madeira, where he would be spending a few days with his family.  "I'm proud to come here," he said. Mohamed Salah's Egypt eliminated from Africa Cup of Nations

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah and his team Egypt, were knocked out of the African Cup of Nations following a shock 1-0 loss to South Africa. Egypt, one of the favorites at this year's AFCON, were expected to defeat the Bafana Bafana, but fate had deemed otherwise. The Bafana Bafana who only qualified from their group for being the best-ranked third-place side shall face Nigeria (who beat beat title holders Cameroon in the last 16 game) in the quarter finals. Thembinkosi Lorch's goal for South Africa turned out to be the difference between progress and elimination.
