Avicii has been a major player in the Electronic Dance Music in the past decade. Avicii shaped and evolved the genre, bridging EDM and other musical genres like pop, folk, soul, blues and country.

Avicii collaborated with David Guetta on the French DJ's "Sunshine" in 2011, which earned him his first Grammy nomination - Best Dance Recording category, in 2012.
"Levels" was one of Avicii's greatest singles, and was his breakout hit. Levels was released in 2011. The song has over 340 million views on YouTube. Levels topped the charts in Avicii's Swedish homeland and in the United States of America. Several critics consider "Levels" to be one of the greatest EDM songs of all time. Some consider it Avicii's greatest song. Avicii was nominated for the Grammy Awards in 2013 for "Levels", in the Best Dance Recording category. 
"X You" was a single from Avicii's first album, True. It is the world's largest "crowd-sourced" major hit which was built from 12,951 contributions from more than 4,000 people in 140 countries.
"Wake Me Up" was the lead single from his debut album, True. The song blends elements of Electronic Dance Music, soul and country. "Wake Me Up" peaked at number one in 22 countries. It is also the most searched song on the app Shazam. "Wake Me Up" has been viewed on Avicii's official YouTube channel over 1.5 billion times as of April 2018. "Wake Me Up" is Avicii's most watched video on YouTube. The track features vocals from Aloe Blacc. "Wake Me Up" went platinum six times.
"Hey Brother" was the third single from Avicii's debut album True, and was an instant commercial success. Hey Brother features vocals from Dan Tyminski who brings in the bluegrass element of the song. In the track, Avicii offers his brothers and sister advice and promise them endless love and support. As of today, the official video for Hey Brother has 143 million views. The official video shows two brothers growing up in wartime America. The elder brother dies in the Vietnam War, leaving behind a younger brother who saw a father in his late elder brother.
"Silhouttes" was released on the 27th of April 2012, debuting at number fifty on the Irish Singles Chart. "Silhouettes" features vocals from Swedish singer Salem Al Fakir. The song is gold-certified in Australia, 3x platinum-certified in Sweden and silver-certified in the United Kingdom. 
"Broken Arrows" is a dance track that perfectly blends with country music. Avicii made use of Zac Brown's vocals in the song. "Broken Arrows" appears on Avicii's second album, Stories. The official video for "Broken Arrows" on Avicii's YouTube channel has over 56 million views. The song is gold-certified in Canada and 3x Platinum certified in Sweden.
"The Nights", from Avicii's second album, Stories, peaked at number six on the UK Singles Chart and number one on the UK Dance Chart, after its digital download release on January 11th, 2015. The song topped at number ten on the Billboard Electronic Songs Chart. "The Nights" features vocals from Nicholas Furlong. Its official video on YouTube has been viewed over 342 million times.
"Without You" was released as the lead single from Avicii's EP "Avici (01)" on the 11th of August, 2017, featuring Swedish singer Sandro Cavazza's vocals. This is an emotional song that makes you feel a blend of intensive, overpowering emotions. "Without You" is Avicii's seventh number one single in Sweden. It peaked at number one upon release in 2017 and topped the Swedish music charts again after Avicii's passing in April. "Without You" has been gold-certified in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, and Germany. The track is silver-certified in the United Kingdom and platinum-certified in Italy.
"Lonely Together" was the second single from Avici's EP, Avici (01), released on 11th August, 2017. It features Rita Ora. "Lonely Together" has been gold-certified in Germany, France, Denmark, and Belgium. In Canada, Italy, and the United Kingdom, the song has been platinum-certified. As of now, the official video has received over 100 million views on YouTube. 
"Friend of Mine" was the last song uploaded to Avicii's YouTube channel before he passed away. The song's official YouTube video has over 11 million views. The Swedish duo Vergas & Lagola are the featured vocalists on the song.
