The long awaited and anticipated Influential Night has come to pass. Congrats to the organizers - Avance Media and COSDEF Group, for the proper planning and management of the event; it was a mega success. 'Little Cindy' Premieres on May 11th 2018

'Little Cindy' - a must watch movie, narrates how a young, wealthy couple lose their 7-year-old brilliant daughter who doubles as a singer. Cindy's parents, Mr and Mrs Alom throw a party to honor their beloved Cindy, but things turn sour when Cindy disappears. Everyone starts panicking as the search for Cindy gets futile and suspicious. This mouthwatering movie is based on a true life story, and is filled with deceit, suspense, intrigue, and action. The movie shows the impact of parents' past mistakes on their children's lives. Mr and Mrs Alom's past mistakes led to the death of their innocent Cindy. Everyone is eager to know who Cindy's killer(s) are.  'Little Cindy' was written, directed and co-produced by Billy Bob Lifongo, acclaimed director of hit TV series, Rumble; and edited by multiple award winning editor, Agbor Obed Agbor. Mr. Leo's Jamais Jamais Remix Featuring Flavour

Mr Leo, one of Alpha Better Record's pioneer artists has finally dropped the official video of his "Jamais Jamais remix" featuring Flavour. Flavour Nabania is one of Nigeria's finest and popular artists. The "Partout" singer put an end to the suspense on the 2nd of April, when he dropped a video teaser of the "Jamais Jamais remix". The video was directed by MattMax. The song was produced by Blaise B's Akwandor, and mastered by Salatiel (Alpha Beta Records). Before releasing the video, Mr. Leo teased his fans on Instagram about the release of a remix of one of either "Jamais Jamais" or "On va Gérer". Then he went on to ask fans to guess the nationality of the artist with whom he would do the remix. The options were: Nigeria, Mali, Cameroon and Tanzania. We’re glad the video is finally here. The Nature and Importance of Government Grants to a Local Government

Local government may be loosely defined as a public organization authorized to decide and administer a limited range of public policies within a relatively small territory which is a subdivision of a regional or national government  (Local Government, n.d.) . Within the pyramid of government institutions, the local government finds itself at the bottom, with the national government at the top and the intermediate governments at the middle. The intermediate governments could be state, regions, or provinces. Five broad categories of local governments have been postulated: 1) federal-decentralized, 2) unitary-decentralized, 3) Napoleonic-perfect, 4) communist, and 5) postcolonial. The federal-decentralized system decentralizes much authority to its regional governments. Sources of Local Government Funding in Cameroon

There exists 339 councils and 10 regions in Cameroon. Every local authority in Cameroon has two organs; a deliberative organ and an executive organ. According to article 55 in part ten of Cameroon’s constitution dedicated to ‘Regional and Local Authorities’: ·    Regional and local authorities of the Republic shall comprise regions and councils. Any other such authority shall be created by law. ·   Regional and local authorities shall be public law corporate bodies. They shall have administrative and financial autonomy in the management of regional and local interests. Article 56 of the constitution states that the law shall define the sharing powers between the state and regions in the areas of competence so transferred. The state is the guarantor of harmonious development of all councils and is expected to create equilibrium among them.
