Maurizio Sarri: Lionel Messi's Ballon d'Or Edge on Cristiano Ronaldo is 'Annoying'

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri finds it "really annoying" that Lionel Messi has surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of Ballon d'Or awards, despite both players dominating in Ballon d'Or wins over the past decade. See their Ballon d'Or dominance below:
2008: Cristiano Ronaldo
2009: Lionel Messi
2010: Lionel Messi
2011: Lionel Messi
2012: Lionel Messi
2013: Cristiano Ronaldo
2014: Cristiano Ronaldo
2015: Lionel Messi
2016: Cristiano Ronaldo
2017: Cristiano Ronaldo
2018: Luka Modric
2019: Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi is last year's Ballon d'Or winner, and had previously won the golden gong in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015. Messi has also featured among the top three finalists more times - 11 times - than any other player.
After Juventus' victory over Udinese yesterday, Sarri told reporters, 'I would like to help Cristiano win the sixth Ballon d'Or first.
'It's really annoying thinking that someone won more [Ballons d'Or] than him. I think about him and I think helping him, it is my goal and the goal of the team. It is right for him.'
Sarri also tipped Paulo Dybala - who scored a brace vs Udinese - to be a future Ballon d'Or winner.
'Dybala is going to be one of the contenders in the next years. I think so,' Sarri said.
'Dybala is a top player. As every top player when they are becoming confident and having the right age, they are playing like a top player.
'I don't think a manager can teach something to a top player. Dybala is going to leave a mark in world and European football in the next years. He has got the right age to leave a mark and he's still got many years of his career. He is really confident in this moment after a few difficulties in the past.'

On the canyoneering trip in Blue John Canyon in Utah, a boulder fell and pinned my right forearm, crushing it. It was the third day of the planned 5-day trip. It was four days later that my mother sent a helicopter to rescue me, the same day that I cut my arm off. I was trapped there for six days and during that time didn't get a wink of sleep. I was going through very extreme transformations. I was in an altered state of consciousness from sleep deprivation, blood loss and lack of oxygen to my brain, dehydration, hypothermia and starv...
