Swedish Music Legend Avicii Dead At 28

Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, died on Friday April 20, 2018 in Muscat, Oman. Tim was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on September 8, 1989, to Klas Bergling and Anki Liden. Tim chose the moniker Avicii - which means "the lowest level of Buddhist hell" because his real name was already being used upon creating his Myspace page. In Buddhism, Avici is a hell where the dead who have sinned will be reborn after enduring punishment. Avici can be equated to purgatory in Catholicism. Tim added the extra "i" to Avici to distinguish himself from a different Avici on MySpace. There are still many unanswered questions about the Electronic Dance Music legend's death but the two autopsies carried out by Oman police reveal no foul play or criminal intent. His death sent shock waves throughout the entire music industry with tributes pouring in from all corners of the world. Many are left wondering how he could die so young with so much potential and aspirations. S
