Billboard Latin Music Award Winners 2018

2017 was the year of urban music and "Despacito". "Despacito" which was 2017's most played song won six trophies: Latin pop song of the year, streaming song of the year, digital song of the year, airplay song of the year, hot Latin song of the year, and vocal event. Daddy Yankee who co-wrote and featured in "Despacito" was the big winner of the evening with eight awards. Luis Fonsi and Justin Bieber both took home seven awards each. Most of Justin Bieber's wins were the "Despacito" trophies. Luis Fonsi's "Echame La Culpa" won the Hot Latin Songs artist of the year award.

Pop superstar Shakira was the next biggest winner following the "Despacito" blast. Her awards include: hot Latin songs female artist of the year, Latin pop album of the year for "El Dorado", solo Latin pop artist of the year, Latin album of the year by a female and tropical song of the year for "Déjà Vu" with Prince Royce. Maluma, a ten-time nominee won social artist of the year, won beating out Shakira, J Balvin and Jennifer Lopez. Herewith the full list of finalists and winners to the awards.
