Cristiano Ronaldo seemingly angry after missing out on UEFA Nations League Player of the Tournament award

Cristiano Ronaldo seemed disappointed after he was overlooked for the UEFA Nations League Player of the Tournament award. Thanks to a powerful second-half strike from Goncalo Guedes in the tight UEFA final, Ronaldo was able to add a second international award to his outstanding list of achievements. Ronaldo did not participate in the group stages of the competition, as he was given time to adjust to life in Italy. He however scored a hat-trick in the semi-final, firing Portugal into the final.
Portugal players affectionately congratulated Bernado Silva, winner of the UEFA Nations League Player of the Tournament award, with pats on the back of his neck and on his head, but Ronaldo gave the 24-year-old midfielder an annoyed look instead. Perhaps Ronaldo thought his heroics against Switzerland in the semi-final would be enough to land him the award.

After the game, Ronaldo was asked if lifting the Nations League boosts his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or. He shook his head, smiled, and replied: 'The goal of the match was to win and to play well.' He was probed again, but replied sternly: 'No, I will not speak about the Ballon d'Or.'
Silva has been in scintillating form this season, winning a domestic treble with Manchester City, and impressing during international duty. After collecting the Player of the Tournament award, the Manchester City man said: 'I'm happy to have helped the team.
'Of course, the most important thing was that Portugal won, but when you can add an individual award to it, then that's also good.
'I'm really happy with my performance, not just here in the Nations League, but throughout this whole season.'

I was going through very extreme transformations. I was in an altered state of consciousness from sleep deprivation, blood loss and lack of oxygen to my brain, dehydration, hypothermia and starv...
