Rapper XXXTentacion Shot Deat at 20

Rapper XXXTentacion's sensational blooming musical career came to brutal end on Monday June 18. XXX, whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was shot by at least one of two armed suspects as he left a motorcycle dealership in South Florida. As he was leaving the motorcycle dealer, an armed masked man ran up to his car and shot him. The assailant and his partner fled in a black Dodge Journey after shooting XXX. Investigators report the young rapper was driving a black BMW after leaving RIVA Motorsports. Witnesses told police officers a Louis Vuitton bag was taken from XXX's vehicle. The rapper was rushed - in a comatose state - in an ambulance to Broward Health North at 1:35 p.m. According to a report by TMZ, XXXTentacion was pronounced dead by Broward County Sheriff's Department at 2:40 p.m.

Renowned rappers J. Cole and Kanye West among thousands of fans reacted quickly to the tragic news on social media. Rapper J. Cole tweeted, "Enormous talent and limitless potential and a strong desire to be a better person." Kanye West tweet displayed regret, he wrote, "Rest in peace. I never told you how much you inspired me when you were here. Thank you for existing." DJ Diplo, who produced music with XXXTentacion uploaded a picture of himself and the rapper, captioned, "Thanks for inspiring me."
The rapper's fans shared an Instagram live video wherein the rapper reveals what he wants to be remembered by were he to  die a tragic death. In the video, he says, "If worse thing comes to worst, and I fucking die a tragic death or some shit and I'm not able to see out my dreams, I at least want to know that the kids perceived my message and were able to make something of themselves and able to take my message and use it and turn it into something positive and to at least have a good life." 
"If I'm going to die or ever be a sacrifice, I want to make sure that my life made at least five million kids happy or they found some sort of answers or resolve in my life regardless of the negative around my name, regardless of the bad things people say to me."

XXXTentacion was recently in the headlines after Spotify removed his music from their promoted playlists, in accordance with their new policy aimed at removing "hateful music and conduct." This was in response to domestic violence accusations made against the rapper. The backlash Spotify received made the company reverse its decision. 
XXXTentacion was facing more than a dozen felony charges, including aggravated battery of a pregnant woman (his ex-girlfriend), domestic battery and false imprisonment. He spent a brief time in jail - sent to jail in December 2017 - and was released on house arrest - in March 2018 - after a judge granted him permission to tour (in support of his new album).
According to Miami New Times, XXXTentacion was planning a charity event this weekend which would be held in Miami. Upcoming Pittsburgh rapper Jimmi Wopo was also shot dead at 21, on Monday, in a drive-by shooting.
