Drake Breaks 54-Year-Old Music Record Held by The Beatles


With Drake, winning just never stops. Drake just hit another major milestone this year, shattering a 54-year-old record for the most Top 10 hits in a year, previously held by the legendary Beatles. Before this week, Drake was at parity with the Beatles, who scored 11 hits in the Top 10 hits on the Hot 100 songs chart in the year they arrived in the US (1964). 
Drake has already scored 12 Top 10 hits in 2018, and the year isn't over yet. Drake's featured spot on Bad Bunny's “Mia” earned Drake his 12th top 10 hit on the Hot 100 songs chart, debuting at No. 5. His latest album, Scorpio, featured three No. 1 songs – “God's Plan”, “In My Feelings”, and “Nice For What”.
Drake has now scored 32 Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart throughout his career. Of these 32, three have charted at No. 1, three have seen him supporting a lead artist, and two have been scored with him been the lead artist, with another artist featuring. Drake's 12 Top 10 hits this year are:

“Diplomatic Immunity” - No. 7
“Don’t Matter To Me (ft. Michael Jackson)” - No. 9
“Emotionless” - No. 8
“I’m Upset” - No. 7
“In My Feelings” - No. 1

Bad Bunny - “MIA (ft. Drake)” - No. 5
“Nice For What” - No. 1
“Nonstop” - No. 2

Lil Baby & Drake - “Yes Indeed” - No. 6
With 32 Top 10 hits, Drake now ranks third in terms of most Top 10 hits scored by an artist. Madonna leads with 38 and The Beatles second with 34.This year, Drake also became the artist to spend the most time at No. 1 in a single year, beating previous record-holder Usher. “In My Feelings” from Scorpion reigned at No. 1 for 29 weeks. Drake is currently on tour in the US, following the release of his fifth studio album, Scorpion, in June.
