Cesc Fabregas: It's 'probably impossible' for there to be another Lionel Messi

Spanish midflier Cesc Fabregas, who currently plays for Monaco in France believes we may never see another player of Messi's caliber again. He spent three seasons at Barcelona where he played alongside Messi. Messi won two Ballon d'Or awards during that time. He and Messi also played together at Barcelona's academy, La Masia, before Fabregas departed for Arsenal in 2003. When asked by AS' Aritz Gabilondo about whether football will ever see another player like Messi, he responded:
"We've seen the likes of Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, amazing players, but Messi has been the best for 15 years. He's in his 17th season and he's been the best since he was 18 years old.
"I've seen things you wouldn't believe. Every three days he scores goals, he heads off to play for Argentina, he comes back jet-lagged and scores a hat-trick... that's not normal, believe me.
"I would have liked to enjoy playing more with Leo. I had a bit of bad luck in that respect. The first season we had together we had a great understanding. But the two following seasons was when I had my worst time with injuries. I wasn’t at my best at key moments and that affected everyone, including Leo."
Last season, Messi notched 51 goals and 22 assists in 50 matches in all competitions for Barcelona. In sum, the phenomenal Argentine has racked up 671 career goals and 286 assists for club and country.
According to Fabregas, Kylian Mbappe will succeed Lionel Messi and become the best player in the world. The 20-year-old finished fourth in last year's Ballon d'Or ranking.
"He's a phenomenon. He's clearly going to be the best player in the world in the future," Fabregas said of the striker.
"I always think like a midfielder and if I had him in front of me I'd be giving him assists all the time because he's so fast, explosive, but he's also very clever in slipping his markers.
"He has his timing down perfectly. [Thierry] Henry and Diego Costa were also brilliant at that. The thing that stands out about Mbappe is that he's so hungry, he knows how to exploit his ability."
Fabregas also talked about Neymar who would be staying at PSG this season after all.
"I played with him. The best players never lose their touch," said Fabregas.
"Sometimes due to things in your head or because you have a coach who doesn't know how to get the best out of you, you play below your ability.
"But if you're a great player, you always will be. And he's a great player."

The finger-cutting tradition of Indonesia's Dani tribe

The death of a loved one is always an extremely painful thing to bear, and people of different cultures grieve in diverse ways, some more unique than others. A typically unique way of grieving is that of the Dani (an Indonesian tribe). Finger-cutting is a fundamental part of grieving for women of the Dani tribe, and pertains to their women only. According to The Globe and Mail, an estimated 250,000 Dani tribe members live in a town named Wamena, in the extremely remote central highland area of Papua Province. Wamena is only accessible by plane.  Upon the death of a loved one, the top joint of one of a woman's fingers would be amputated, and smear ashes and clay across their faces. Prior to amputation, a string would be firmly tied to the upper half of the woman's finger for 30 minutes, to cause numbness. This was to reduce the pain from amputating the tip. In most cases, the responsibility of cutting off the top joint of the finger is assigned to one of the woman's
