Actor and comedian Kevin Hart and two others
were involved in a car crash in Calabasas, California, according to a
California Highway Patrol incident report. The report said Hart and the driver
- Hart's friend - 28-year-old Jared Black, suffered "major back
injuries" and were taken to hospitals. The third passenger, 31-year-old
Rebecca Broxterman - Black's fiancé - only complained of pain. Police
determined that Black was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.
Black was
driving Hart's 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, according to the report, when he lost
control of the vehicle and it went off Mulholland Highway, in the hills above
Malibu, and rolled down an embankment around 12:45 am on Sunday. Hart bought
the Plymouth in July as a gift to himself, for his 40th birthday.
Hart's wife,
Eniko Parrish, told TMZ in a video interview on Monday that her husband
"is awake" and "going to be just fine". She said Hart was
awake and in "good spirits", but not lively and joking around yet.
Hollywood stars like Nicole Kidman, Bryan
Cranston, Marlon Wayans, Dwayne Johnson, and others posted warm messages of
support to Kevin Hart, wishing him full recovery.
