Jennifer Lopez revives iconic Versace dress behind the invention of Google Images

Jennifer Lopez aged 50, just stunned the fashion world, reviving the iconic green Versace dress that lead to the invention of Google Images. Lopez modeled the modern version of the dress at Versace's S/S 2020 show, making an incredible surprise appearance at the at Milan Fashion week, at the city's Piazza Sei Febbraio venue. The dress she wore at the show was an even more revealing version of the jungle dress she wore to the 42nd Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 23, 2000.
The original jungle dress the ageless Lopez wore in 2000 inspired tech giant Google to create Google Images, as millions searched the internet in a bid to see the dress. At the time, it was the most popular search query Google had ever had.
The Versace S/S 2020 show which held on Friday paid homage to both the original dress and to Lopez, as she closed the night's show in a seriously iconic way. Vogue reports that the models walked the runway to her back-in-the-day hit "Love Don't Cost A Thing". After that, the lights in the room were dimmed and the audience were shown a montage of Google searches for the original dress. A voice followed saying, "Okay, Google, now show me the real jungle dress," at which point Lopez strutted onto the runway, causing audience members to gasp, cheer and reach for their phones.
In their show notes, Versace said, "The world had the same reaction: jaw-dropping.
"Today we live in a technological world, but back then, one event promoted the creation of a new tool that now has become part of our lives."

The finger-cutting tradition of Indonesia's Dani tribe

The death of a loved one is always an extremely painful thing to bear, and people of different cultures grieve in diverse ways, some more unique than others. A typically unique way of grieving is that of the Dani (an Indonesian tribe). Finger-cutting is a fundamental part of grieving for women of the Dani tribe, and pertains to their women only. According to The Globe and Mail, an estimated 250,000 Dani tribe members live in a town named Wamena, in the extremely remote central highland area of Papua Province. Wamena is only accessible by plane.  Upon the death of a loved one, the top joint of one of a woman's fingers would be amputated, and smear ashes and clay across their faces. Prior to amputation, a string would be firmly tied to the upper half of the woman's finger for 30 minutes, to cause numbness. This was to reduce the pain from amputating the tip. In most cases, the responsibility of cutting off the top joint of the finger is assigned to one of the woman's
