Rita Ora Dedicates New Album to Avicii

Rita Ora released her long-awaited sophomore album, Phoenix, on Friday, November 23. Rita Ora and many artists have been deeply hurt by the loss of Swedish EDM producer/DJ Avicii. 

In a recent interview with A List magazine, prior to Phoenix's release, she announced she dedicated her second album to Avicii, by including the track they worked on last August for Avicii's last EP - Lonely Together. She originally had no plans of including the track on her album. She told A List, “I am paying homage to him by putting "Lonely Together" on the album. We are holding the flame for him. He was an incredible person and such a talent. We were very good friends and he changed my life. In a way, the album is dedicated to him.”

Avicii died on April 20, 2018, while on vacation in muscat, Oman, of an apparent suicide.
