Nashville was home to
the 52nd annual Country Music Association Awards. CMA Awards were presented to
country music's best acts at Music City's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday,
November 14, 2018. Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley were hosts at the CMAs. Garth
Brooks opened the show with a moment of silence to honor the victims of the
recent California shooting. Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley also delivered
memorable performances. Keith Urban was named Entertainer of the Year - his
second Entertainer title, after winning it in 2005. Carrie Underwood won Female
Vocalist of the Year for the fifth time in her career, while Chris Stapleton
won his fourth consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year award. He was also awarded
the Single of the Year and Song of the Year awards for "Broken
Halos". Kacey Musgraves' Golden
Hour was named Album of the Year.
