Barcelona are 10 points atop the La
Liga charts thanks to Lionel Messi's dazzling performance against Sevilla, which
resulted in a 4-2 victory for Barcelona. The hat-trick hero, Lionel Messi,
however insists the race to the league title isn't over yet.
Barcelona succumbed to Sevilla twice in
the course of the game before equalizing and winning. Messi scored his 50th career
hat-trick against Sevilla.

The Argentina star told beIN SPORTS he
doesn't believe Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid could be considered out of
contention. "No, because there is a long way to go,"
he said. "But it was really important to win because of what it
means to win here and to keep our distance ahead of our rivals.
"Now more than ever, you have to
use your head. Every time, it becomes more difficult to win, so we go away
happy.
"We know what this ground is and
what players they have. It was a difficult match for us but we were able to
move forward.
"You can't always play at a great
level. We've gone through a run in which we didn't play our best football. When
the game flows, things come by themselves. We played great football and the
goals came."
"Everything is important. We said
so from the beginning. We're just a step away from getting into a cup final and
we have to go for everything," Messi said.
"It's going to be very hard
because it's in Madrid, but we have to go there to win. We're confident we can
win in Madrid."
Barcelona will play back-to-back games
against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, first in the Copa del Rey
semi-final second leg on Wednesday, then in La Liga on Saturday.
