1. The necktie originated in Croatia, in the 17th century. During the 30 year war in France, King Louis XIII hired Croatian mercenaries who wore a piece of cloth around their neck - which was later named by King Louis as "la cravate" - as part of their uniform. King Louis made neckties mandatory for Royal gatherings in honor of the Croatian mercenaries and because he was so fond of the look.

4. According to the Guinness World Records, the largest necktie in the world was made and displayed in Croatia. It measured 808 m, and was made by members of the Academia Cravatica organization in five days. It was tied around the arena in Pula, Croatia on October 18, 2003.
 

5. The most popular male name in Croatia is Luka, and Ana, the most popular female name.

6. The Guinness World Records reveal that Croatia holds the record for the world's longest strudel. It was baked in Jaškovo, Croatia, and measured 1,479.38 m.

7. In Zadar, Croatia, is found a sea organ which plays music by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps. The musical instrument is 70 m long.

8. The genius inventor Nikola Tesla was born in present day Croatia, then known as the Austrian Empire. He is credited with groundbreaking inventions such as the rotating magnetic field (1882), the AC motor (1883), the Tesla coil (1890), and the radio (1897).

9. The largest box of popcorn was filled by Cineplexx International in 1 hour and 57 minutes, at an event outside Avenue Mall in Osijek, Croatia, on 16 April 2011. The popcorn box had a volume of 52.59m³ (1857 ft³).

10. One-third, that is 34.35% of Croatia's land area is covered in forest.

Company Background : Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. was a firm specialized in the provision of global financial services. It was founded in Montgomery, Alabama, in the United States of America. The death of a loved one is always an extremely painful thing to bear, and people of different cultures grieve in diverse ways, some more unique than others. A typically unique way of grieving is that of the Dani (an Indonesian tribe). Finger-cutting is a fundamental part of grieving for women of the Dani tribe, and pertains to their women only. According to The Globe and Mail, an estimated 250,000 Dani tribe members live in a town named Wamena, in the extremely remote central highland area of Papua Province.
