The
2019 Grammy nominees were unveiled on Friday, December 7. Music's biggest night
is two months away! Rap artists Kendrick Lamar and Drake received the most
nominations. Kendrick Lamar got eight and Drake, seven. Folk singer and
songwriter Brandi Carlile and producer Boi-1da received six nominations apiece.
This makes Carlile the most nominated woman at the 2019 Grammys. Cardi B, Childish Gambino, H.E.R., Lady Gaga, Maren
Morris, producer Sounwave and mastering engineer Mike Bozzi are next in line
with five nods. Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Taylor Swift and Ariana
Grande are notable absentees in the major categories. The 61st edition of the
Grammy Awards shall air February 10, 2019 on CBS, broadcast live from the
Staples Center in Los Angeles.
