Swedish football legend
and former FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic
believes Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is the driving force behind the
Galacticos' success in the Ballon d'Or. Ibrahimovic was asked about Modric winning
the 2018 Ballon d'Or and he responded claiming that in reality, Messi was
challenging the whole Real Madrid club for the Ballon d'Or and not just
Ronaldo. According to Fox Sports, he said, "Now we can see that Messi was competing for the Ballon d'Or
against Florentino Perez, not Cristiano."
Juventus
manager Massimiliano Allegri believes Ronaldo deserved to win a sixth Ballon
d'Or. According to FourFourTwo, Allegri said, "I think he deserves to win
the Ballon d'Or for what he did with Real Madrid, winning the Champions
League."
"At the
World Cup with Portugal honestly he couldn't go any further [than the round of
16]. Therefore, I mean, he deserved it.
"But I
think that this can be a motivation to do even better this season and win the
next Ballon d'Or with Juventus."
Could Zlatan
be right? Real Madrid are a force to reckon with as a Los Blancos player has
won five of the last six Ballon d'Or.
