Messi was awarded the European Golden Shoe in 2010,
2012, 2013, 2017 and now in 2018. In 2013 he shared the award with Luis Suarez.
Ronaldo claimed the award in 2008, 2011, 2014, and 2015. Luis Suarez claimed
his second Golden Shoe award in 2016.

Messi leads
the scoring charts in La Liga this season as well, with 14 goals scored. He is
the highest goalscorer in the top five European leagues.
