On Wednesday, March 25, Iran's Health Ministry spokesman
Kianoush Jahanpour said 2,206 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the past
24 hours. The total of confirmed cases stands at 27,017, total number of
deaths, stand at 2,206. “9,625 infected patients have recovered and been
discharged from the hospital,” Jahanpour added. He also said that 47.5 million
Iranians had been screened as part of a national mobilization plan.
In a televised statement, Ali Rabiei, a government
spokesman, said that President Hassan Rouhani took new measures to prevent
the spread of coronavirus, including an international and intercity travel ban.
